Training offer

UNIPhD will provide all Fellows with an extensive research training, complemented with a comprehensive transversal skills package, designed to improve their employability after their PhD.

The following Training Objectives (TOs) will be pursued and developed through a variery of training activities and resources.

SCIENCE


to form a new generation of researchers with state-of-the-art scientific knowledge. Technical and scientific skills are ESR-specific and will be acquired in the courses and seminars offered by each Doctoral Course.

T02

HORIZONS


to develop a creative and innovative mindset in the ESRs through exposure to multi-disciplinary and interdisciplinary approaches to research as well as international and intersectoral opportunities, so that they will be able to face the future challenges of society. The training at Unipd will be supplemented by periods spent in other academic or non-academic institutions. Each ESR is expected to carry out 2 secondments, for a minimum period of 3 months and a maximum of 18 months; 1 is mandatory, the other optional but strongly recommended.

PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONALS DEVELOPMENT


to provide soft and transferable skills to the ESRs and to equip them with the communication skills and strong leadership capacity needed for their future role as key players in the academic, industrial, clinical and cultural sectors.

ENTREPRENEURSHIP


to develop entrepreneurial skills in ESRs to convert knowledge and research ideas into products and services for society.

to create a network of highly employable professionals with a broad range of transferable skills, confidence in problem-solving, and managing projects either in academia or in industry.
