Successful UNIPhD Fellows are enrolled and recruited for three years (36 months) in one of the UNIPhD Doctoral Courses.
Admission to a PhD course is a full time, exclusive commitment. No university tuition fees are due.
UNIPhD Fellows receive additional financial support to cover research, training and networking costs, that is, purchase of equipment, consumables, publications, Open Access costs, fees for scientific journals, travel expenses (e.g. related to conference/intensive courses participation, networking activities) and external services. The funding is managed by the Host Department at the University of Padua and is subject to the approval of their supervisor.
Unipd enters with each Fellow a 3-year (36 months) employment contract (“Assegno di ricerca”); it is signed by the Fellow and the Director of the Host Department and specifies the Fellow’s employment conditions and the Unipd obligations.
