Research Topic A

Abstract of the proposed UNIPhD research project

The fast-ripening process in peach fruits is considered a challenge for the international market. To prolong their shelf life, cold storage (CS) is applied, however this leads to the development of chilling injuries (CI). Controlled atmosphere (CA) is used as postharvest treatment to prevent this disorder. The aim is to investigate the epigenetic regulations in fruit quality induced by different postharvest treatments (CS/CA) at different maturity stages.
