Abstract of the proposed UNIPhD research project


Yash’s project will develop a novel method of dynamic balancing for a grasping aerial manipulator through concurrent optimization of both the mechanical design and control methods. The developed platform aims to minimize reaction forces and torques applied on the UAV, which will improve precision, speed, robustness and manoeuvrability.



Short bio

Yash completed his MSc in Robotics, Systems and Control from ETH Zürich. Prior to that, he was in the Qantas Airways Graduate Program, and did a BE(Hons)/BA double degree from the Australian National University majoring in Mechatronics and Chinese.
