Research Topic A
Her proposed research project will investigate ecosystem services at a regional scale in the EU bioeconomy, with a focus on socially innovative green care. She will attempt to understand the different ecosystem services generated from green care. Moreover, she will use economic techniques to try to estimate values for the ecosystem services produced, and in particular cultural ecosystem services. The main aim of her research is to investigate the topic of green care through an economic lens, in terms of values and impacts.
Aisling Sealy Phelan is a young researcher from Co. Galway, Ireland. She holds a Master of Science in Environmental Economics and a Bachelor of Commerce with French both from the National University of Ireland, Galway. She has worked for one year as a researcher at Euro-Mediterranean Centre on Climate Change (CMCC) in Venice, Italy. She worked within the economic analysis of climate impacts and policy team within the frame of two Horizon 2020 projects.
